CU Aerospace has been awarded an AFWERX Phase II STTR program entitled "Rotor Blade Designs for Quiet Performance." For this project, CUA will partner with researchers at the University of Illinois and Infinity Labs, LLC to study the fluid dynamics and aeroacoustics of novel rotor blade design techniques for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and urban air mobility (UAM). The STTR project, which is sponsored by Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), supports the USAF's Agility Prime efforts.
